Family Medicine Residency Program Faculty Opportunity in Georgia!

An ideal candidate will be either an experienced physician or a recent graduate interested in pursuing a non-ACGME accredited academic fellowship, with availability to start in 2025 and a strong desire to work in medical education or academic leadership.

  • Salary: Guaranteed salary is competitive and commensurate with experience
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8am – 5pm; on average 2 clinic days, 1 precepting
    day, and dedicated administration time for GME education per week
  • Duties: to provide direct care to clinic patients and to educate residents through

Primary Care Position – Rockledge, FL

  • Practice medicine using sound medical judgment and adhere to all ethical considerations of the practice of medicine; know limitations and seek consult when advisable; keep abreast of current technologies and industry standards
  • Meet all clinical obligations of the medical practice: Accrediting Agency compliance, CLIA compliance, drug prescription compliance, HIPAA, State and Federal regulations, Safety Regulations, etc
  • Independently provide care for patients with acute and chronic illness encountered in the older adult patient
  • Accountable for patient care and outcomes and will appropriately seek consultation from specialists when needed, though will stay involved in, and be responsible for, the detailed care of the patient
  • Engage with hospitalists whenever a patient is in the hospital
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, manage, educate, promote health, and provide care coordination and documentation for patients with acute and complex chronic health needs using evidence-based medicine and practice guidelines
  • Maintain complete and detailed records, electronically in the EMR, of patients’ health care plans and prognosis, completed within 48 hours of each patient’s visit
  • Provide quality evidence based medical care in a managed care environment, focused on prevention, and outcomes
  • Exhibit behavior that emphasizes compassion, quality, loyalty, and conscientiousness
  • Interpret data and diagnostic results for an appropriate course of action including but not limited to blood gasses, radiology, EKG, etc. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, their families, and team members
  • Oversee and supervise Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistant when requested
  • Responsible for ensuring that patients are seen at least every other visit by Physician
  • Additional duties as assigned
