  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized anesthetic plans for liver transplant patients.
  • Manage complex anesthetic cases, including those involving high-risk patients with multiple comorbidities.
  • Perform invasive monitoring, airway management, and use of advanced anesthetic techniques.
  • Participate in liver transplant team rounds and contribute to clinical decision-making.
  • Provide education and mentorship to anesthesiology residents and fellows.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the department and transplant program.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology (ABA or equivalent).
  • Fellowship training in liver transplant anesthesia or significant experience in liver transplant anesthesia management is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex anesthesia cases, particularly in the context of liver transplantation.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety and the delivery of high-quality care.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a high-volume liver transplant center.
  • Board certification in critical care medicine is a plus.
