We are seeking to recruit an experienced echocardiography specialist to join our dynamic Cardiovascular Disease department and to serve as Medical Director of Echocardiography and Core Faculty in an ACGME-accredited cardiovascular disease program and interventional cardiology program.

The 958-bed academic medical center is central/southern West Virginia’s top healthcare provider with four hospitals and over 700 physicians. We are home to one of the highest-volume heart programs in the nation. Multidisciplinary care is provided via a team approach with surgery, interventional, and structural cardiology supported by professionals with advanced cardiac imaging skills in CT, MRI, and ECHO. Our Heart and Vascular Center offers state-of-the-art advanced imaging and intensive care unit facilities that are supported by 8 catheterization labs, 3 dedicated vascular interventional labs, and 3 EP labs.

Additional Requirements:

• MD/DO from an LCME or AOA-accredited medical school.
• Board-certified in cardiology and echocardiography.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience.
• Ability to obtain a West Virginia state medical license and DEA.
• Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges.
• Demonstrated interest and passion for teaching/academic medicine.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who also have the following:
  • Leadership experience in a cardiology imaging laboratory
  • Structural/interventional cardiology, cardiac MRI
  • Consultative services experience
  • Interest in the development of a cardio-oncology service
  • Teaching/academic experience
