Practice at Only Accredited Breast Center in the Region – Capital City of WV

This hospital is seeking a General Surgeon with fellowship training in breast surgery for a full-time academic position in the Department of Surgery. The successful candidate will provide breast surgery services in our academic healthcare institution while providing educational opportunities for medical students, residents, and other clinical learners. As the first accredited breast center in the state and the only accredited center in the region, we offer comprehensive breast care, providing all of your diagnostic studies, evaluations, and procedures in one place.

Job Requirements by the time of appointment are:

  • MD, DO degree, or foreign equivalent degree from an ACGME-accredited program
  • Completion of a general surgery residency
  • Completion of an SSO breast surgery fellowship
  • Board certification or board eligibility by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery is required.
  • Possess aptitude and passion for educating residents and medical students
  • Willingness to participate in appropriate academic, clinical research, or other scholarly activity as may be required of clinical faculty
  • Eligible for WV Medical License at the time of appointment

No general surgery call is required but is allowed if desired.
